Dr. Sandra F. Joireman helps governments and international organizations design evidence-informed legal, policy, and institutional responses for post-conflict recovery. Her work focuses on housing, land and property (HLP), forced displacement, durable solutions, urban recovery, and the institutional reforms needed to support stable, inclusive, and equitable societies after conflict.

Worked with the Mainstreaming Operational Solutions and Analytics for Inclusive Cities (MOSAIC) group. Wrote an internal grant application to the State and Peacebuilding Fund, revised a report on forced displacement in cities and towns and worked with UNHCR and World Bank on the development of joint policy briefs on urban forced displacement, the dynamics of population movement and the implications of funding reduction for refugee camps (camps to settlements).
